You will gain the ability to export your Ideology and potentially create some new allies! One of my favorites, is part of the politics tree which focuses on South America. This focus is quite deep in the tree, but it is very powerful. Seeing as Spain was used as a testing ground for new weapons and tactics by some of the major powers of WW2, it made sense to give them a reward for going through it.

This will give you a new idea - which can later be replaced after completing the crackdown! To enforcing crackdowns on dissidents to keep Spain safe (available once you've picked an ideology). These focuses range from exploiting resources such as Tungsten (which Spain exported a huge amount of during the war). The Generic National Focus tree for Spain has been replaced, and 58 new Focuses have been added! there are also new events and 3 new National Spirits. Please give it a try and let me know what sort of changes you'd like to see! This has been a really interesting side project for me! So I hope you give it a try and enjoy it, because it was fascinating to create it. For politics, you can choose to create your own faction, to unify the Iberian Peninsula, take back Gibraltar, or try and exert influence over your former South-American colonies! While Spain is unlikely to become a super power during the war, it can be transformed into something that could compete with Italy, with far reaching influence in South America. It replaces the generic Focus Tree, and instead gives you options based on whether you are Fascist or Communist. This mod aims to make the Spain (and subsequently Fancoist & Republican Spain) more interesting to play. So in short: the Spanish Civil War cannot be stopped and will statically always happen. The Spanish Civil War is a mod for Hearts of Iron IV, created by Shark Mafia.

Over the course of 4337 days (the period 16 February 1936 - 1 January 1948), the chance for it not to fire is only 2,2587 ppb (parts per billion). The chance that the Spanish Civil War doesn't fire at all when the game ends in 1948 (assuming there are no active wars with more than one major power, that is) is incredibly small. Over a period of a year (from 16 February 1936), there's an ~81,2783 % chance it will happen and it increases to ~99,9770 % and ~99,9999947 % for a period of five and ten years, respectively.

If the game rolls the dice per hour (I suspect it does), one will find an hourly chance of 1 - 0.5 1/(151*24) = ~1.9125 ‰. If one solves for C, one find a daily chance of firing of 1 - C = 1 - 0.5 1/151 = ~4.5799 ‰. If mean time to happen (MTTH) works as it does in all other Paradox games, it means that the chance of the event firing follows an exponential curve 1 - C t such that 1 - C 151 = 0.5. According to the events file, it fires some time after the 1936 Spanish general Election, which was held on 16 February, with a mean time to happen of 151 days. As far as I know, the Spanish Civil War can't be stopped.
